Fun. While on vacation last week I bought a sketchpad and some art pencils and drew a few sketches. I haven’t done any art for years and it they’re pretty rough but it was fun to start drawing again.

No way! That’s fantastic! Drawing and writing have so much in common. You can draw/write just about anything you want, you can make up your own subject matter, or re-invent it, and you can stylize it, using a variety of mediums. Sometimes I like drawing with the wrong hand, or with a dead marker or broken pencil. It has a way of making you solve problems and get down to having fun.
I’ve been having a blast writing, and drawing gives me the break I need from the written word.
