You’ve gotta love Nina Katchadourian and her series of self-portraits, taken with a camera in airplane lavatories. Nina locks herself in the lavatory and pretends to be the subject of a 15th century Dutch painting, using her clothes and whatever bathroom supplies are handy. The ongoing project began spontaneously on a flight in March 2010. Here are a few of my favorites:
