WRITING SYMPOSIUM

Taking its name from the Douglas Adam’s books, Life, the Universe and Everything is an annual symposium on sci-fi and fantasy, geared toward writers, artists, filmmakers and fans. I’ve been attending the symposium for several years now and this will be my fourth year participating as a panelist. LTUE is a great opportunity for writers and artists to learn more about their craft and content, and be able to network with other creators. LTUE will be held at the Marriott Hotel in Provo, Utah on February 13-15.

WRITING, DRAWING, MAKING COMICS

As with the past three years, I’ll be speaking as a panelist about writing and drawing comics, tools available to artists, creating book covers, and time management for artists and writers. You can check out the full schedule of events here.

Thank you for the awesome! I went on Saturday (today, as I write this). Very good discussions from you and all the panelists on all things creative and working as an artist.

  Hi, Angie! Thanks so much for the comment. You should have come up and said “hi” at the symposium (though my voice was pretty much gone on Saturday). What were some of your favorite panels?

    I loved the two artist panels I saw, one was on time management. The other was the one about freelance work, which was a great panel. I also liked the panel on horror writing, but as a maker of drawings, the visual artist one’s were my favorite this year. I wanted to say hello, I should have, but yeah, your voice was pretty shot at that last panel. I felt bad keeping anyone to chat, especially since it was the third day and the end of the symposium. Ah well, random acts of shyness!

    Oh, cool! Yeah, I really enjoyed the time management panel. If only we had more *time* to talk about it! 😛 It struck me pretty hard Saturday afternoon that the symposium was coming to a close. Everyone was tired and hungry and we’d been sitting down most of the day, wanting to move. Suddenly I got really excited, knowing that we had all stuck it out and that we all love LTUE so much that we were all there together, in the end, nerding out as one. LOL So great.
