Two years ago, my friend Loran Cook asked if I’d be interested in illustrating a short horror story that he’d written. Of course I said yes! He envisioned the story in comics form, with fun and child-friendly drawings, so that the horrifying ending would come as a surprise. When Loran starting describing Victuals as a story about a boy scout trip that goes terribly wrong and the creatures that appear later in the story, I couldn’t help but start drawing.

Now, after two years in the making, Loran’s short horror anthology, Alterran Tales, is available in print!
